 My
dog Holly (Genevas Lady Holly CD RAE) competed in
three events (one Obedience event and two Rally events) at the 2008
National Specialty show and finished with two 2nd place finishes.
Holly finished the 2008 season earning her RAE (Rally Advanced Excellence)
title which is placing in both Advance and Excellence during the same
trial 10 times.
She is a rescued "tailed" Brittany.

Marsport Brittanys had a great 2007 first half in show and
field. New Champion Marsport Sterling Starr (pictured at left),
owned by John Marsman, finished her show championship along with two
sisters, Terra, owned by Connie and Greg Fowler, and Rider,
owned by Peggy and Larry Snider. Another sister, Rawley, owned
by Keaton Petro, won a major at Fox River Valley and won 2 of 3 days
at Valpo in June. This is Keaton's first show dog. He is that good
looking, 6' Junior High student that does such a professional job
in the ring. All four are pictured above. Diesel, a
brother, placed in the Group 4 of 5 days down south after coming off
a Group One under Michelle Billings. He also took a BISS. He is ranked
#11 (July 2007). Mystic, also a brother, finished his Canadian
Championship. Another brother, Ch. Sunquest's Marsport Manhattan,
owned by Hank & Dee Hartnek, is in field training and is 6 field
points away from his Dual. The Gilchrist family is flying high
with 2 Marsport Master Hunt Test titled dogs. Congratulations Jeff
for all the dedication and hard work. Three month old Destry
(pictured potty training at left), owned by John, took a puppy match
Group 2 at Battle Creek in July.

The 2005

ABC Central Futurity Gun Dog Winners -
March 23, 2004
1st - Clydes-Eleets Sassy Kate (KT) with owner/handler Jeff
Steele of LaSalle. Holding the blue ribbon is Kevin Remmers who
along with his wife, Sandra, bred KT (NGDC/DC/AFC Winchester of
Hanging Jaze x Ch. Clydes Machinegunnin' Bonnie). Judges: Wayne
Adams and Wayne Warner.
A big thank you to those that kept KT in competition
when Jeff couldn't handle her. Ed Pogson placed KT at Highland,
MI, and Steve McClure placed KT twice at the Heart of Illinois walking
trial. Ed and Steve are LaSalle members. KT got her Derby points
at LaSalle the weekend following the Futurity, under her owner's
whistle. Kevin Remmers ran her in Open Derby at the same trial and
placed her fourth. That was the third time KT placed twice in Derby
staes on the same weekend. That was also KT's first horseback experience.
A big thank you to Kev! |

Clyde's
Creek Brittanys would like to announce a new Show Champion. Ch.
Clyde's Machinegunnin' Bonnie
"Bonnie" finished her AKC Show title on
Sat. Aug., 23rd at the Elgin Kennel Club in St. Charles, Illinois.
Special Thanks goes out to; Our good friend, Melonie Tokarski, who
the last couple of years, as a Junior Handler, took several Best
of Winners and put 8 points and one major on "Bonnie".
Melonie and her mother Francis opened up their home as we traded
dogs so that Mel and Bonnie could bond and become a great team.
Thank You Melonie!!
Our mentor, Teresa Richmond, who this summer, convinced
us to put Bonnie in the LaSalle Specialty. Then went out and put
6 points on her in 2 shows, including a 5 point major at the LaSalle
Specialty Show. Teresa has also helped us with advice, lessons (for
us and all our dogs) and "in the ring critiquing". Teresa
is a good friend to us and the Brittany breed, and we would like
to thank her for having faith in us and especially in our dogs (even
when we didn't). Thank You Teresa!!
Our good friend, Tommy Thomas, who as a junior handler,
and at the last minute, came in to pinch handle Bonnie for Teresa
in the breed ring, at the Elgin Show. Tom handled Bonnie to her
final point (which is usually the most illusive point to get) by
capturing Best of Opposite Sex. Thank You Tom!!
Also involved in showing Bonnie; junior handler Alex
Findlay, and a couple of years ago,as junior handlers, Colleen and
Erin Walsh. Thanks to all of you!!!!

dogs visit us at http://clydecreekbritts.home.mindspring.com

and I are members of LaSalle...and my rescue, UAGII Breeze AX AXJ
is doing very well in agility. She began training in May, 2002.....her
first UKC trial was in July, 2002, and her first AKC trial was in
September, 2002. She has earned one MX leg...all in less than a
year.
Update May 2005: Breeze is now UAGII Breeze, MX ,
MXJ and she also has 13 double Q's (qualifying in both standard
and jumpers with weaves on the same day/trial) and 232 Master Agility
Championship points (the elusive MACH title....highest you can get
in AKC agility)
